Super Mario Bros. 3

NES
Super Mario Bros. 3 is a 1988 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). In the game, players control Mario or Luigi as they journey to save Princess Toadstool and the rulers of seven kingdoms from Bowser and his children, the Koopalings. The game expanded upon the mechanics of its predecessors, introducing new features like a world map for navigation, diverse themed worlds, and iconic power-ups like the Super Leaf (allowing flight) and Tanooki Suit (granting flight and statue transformation). It also added abilities such as sliding down slopes and picking up and throwing items. Critically acclaimed for its innovative gameplay and challenge, it's widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time and the best game on the NES, with over 17 million copies sold worldwide.
